This project was born from a personal decision to reflect on my career path and what truly motivates me as a designer. Wanting to ensure the right fit in future opportunities, I created a storytelling video designed to introduce myself to recruiters in a transparent and authentic way.

PROJECT OVERVIEW
The project focused on crafting a self-introduction video that goes beyond a traditional portfolio. Through storytelling, I aimed to highlight my creative process, problem-solving approach, and organizational mindset, while giving recruiters an opportunity to connect with my personality. The goal was to present myself in a way that balances professionalism with authenticity, creating a first impression that feels both memorable and genuine.
CHALLENGE
The main challenge was to translate something as intangible as personality into a structured and engaging format. I wanted the video to show not only my design thinking and storytelling skills but also to manage expectations between myself and future employers. This meant finding the right balance between personal storytelling and professional positioning, ensuring the video communicated my essence, while also demonstrating that I could be a strong cultural and creative fit for a team.
STARTING PROCESS
Script, Voices & Sound Design
The project started with a written script, shaped around a dialogue between a narrator and myself. The narrator’s voice was generated with AI, while mine was recorded separately and later combined in Adobe Premiere.
To structure the story, I divided it into seven chapters, enough to unfold the narrative while keeping it concise. From there, I added background music and carefully crafted subtitles, editing both wording and timing frame by frame to ensure they matched seamlessly with the flow of the video.
VISUAL PLANNING
Storyboard & Filming Plan
After shaping the script, I moved on to building a detailed storyboard for each block of the video. I defined all the locations where I wanted to shoot and organized the filming schedule by separating each day according to the chosen setting. To maintain consistency in light and atmosphere, I planned the recordings at the same time of day, around 6:30 AM, when the first sunlight begins to appear.
FILMING PROCESS
The filming stage took place over the course of a week, with each day dedicated to a specific location. To stay consistent, we often repeated the same shots multiple times, adjusting until they felt right. My mother gave me a hand by helping transport the materials, which made the process smoother and more manageable. After completing the recordings, I began organizing all the footage by block, aligning it with the storyboard and narrative flow of the video.
EDITING & FINAL TOUCHES
In the final stage, I moved into editing the entire project in Adobe Premiere. As I gathered the footage, I gradually built the timeline, refining it until it reached the intended five-minute length. I then worked on cleaning audio, balancing flow, and applying LUTs to enhance color and mood. To wrap up the process, I designed a final cover screen with a clear call-to-action, inviting viewers to connect and explore more of my work on my website.
